This is one of six “rocker favors” that Beistle produced from 1930-31. They were sold as an enveloped set with a stock number of 760R. Each can be flared at the bottom enabling the rocker to stand. These Beistle rockers haven’t surfaced much over the last 2-3 years.

I think these are rockers from the 1920s produced by Whitney. It is a close call because the graphics are unlike Whitney but the font used seems to be the same one used for years by Whitney.

Beistle made six different rocker designs and typically sold them in enveloped sets of six during the 1930 and 1931 seasons with inventory number 760R. Beside the black cat, the other designs are an owl in a cauldron, a flying bat, a broomed witch, a perched owl and a ghost. Although the eBay surface page shows this sold for $39, it actually changed hands for $30.
Unusual small paper has been on fire over the last year. This result far exceeds what I would have expected. The tombstone and graveyard motif is underused in vintage Halloween design, and that may have contributed to this eyebrow raising result. You can't go wrong with this seller - truly a gem in our fun field. I wish this piece was marked. It is definitely not Dennison nor Beistle. It doesn't strike me as a Gibson item. Whitney?
Beistle has been white-hot this season. The high temperatures continue with this example of a high price fetched for a hard-to-find but not impossible-to-find item, merely one of six designs sold as an enveloped set in 1930-31. The seller, long on my list of respected dealers, must be ecstatic.
