Tim Ramzyk's New Masterpiece

Well, Tim Ramzyk, the master sculptor/artist behind the aptly named Pulp Novelties has scored another direct hit with his new lantern for the 2024 season. He calls it Night Owl. I just received it today and I think it is magnificent. I wish that I had some artistic ability. How does someone imbue a sculpture with sagacity AND a touch of menace?
Tim shared some information on availability that I will pass along: He will begin listing Night Owl in batches on Etsy beginning October 1st (etsy.com/shop/PulpNovelties), with plans to replenish on the 6th, 13th and 20th at 4:00 PM Central.
Understandably, Tim’s lanterns sell out very quickly. He makes them in limited quantities, they are of the highest sculptural artistry, the colors are inspired and the price is eminently reasonable. I don’t buy many newly produced items as space is limited, but I happily and routinely make an exception for Tim’s wares. You should, too! Happy Halloween!

New Lantern Design from Tim Ramzyk of Pulp Novelties!

Tim Ramzyk is nearing release of his latest fantastic creation, The Halloween Alley Cat! Just look at the craftsmanship! Tim tells me this lantern is his most ambitious to date, consisting of no less than seven separately molded pieces. He was able to craft this scary and unsettling feline even though the raw materials necessary to actually produce them were most costly and more elusive than ever.

This lantern proudly joins my collection of Tim’s limited edition releases he has been creating for the last several years. The detailed molding and coloration of the fur, the care to show its war-torn ears, the cleverly distinctive eyes and unbelievable realism of the mouth and fangs on this chilling lantern are, frankly, astounding. I plan to put it at eye level so my visitors will be a bit spooked.

Tim is a Wisconsin-based artist who meticulously and painstakingly hand molds his own designs from a heavy, durable material. I am in awe at the workmanship and the true craft Tim brings to pulp design. I proudly have seven of his treasures now on exhibit in my main display room. (For those who I've been lucky to host at my home, you know that in order for something to be placed in that room, it has to carry its own weight.)

Tim is offering The Halloween Alley Cat for $205 plus shipping, way too cheap for an item of this quality! He’ll begin selling them on Etsy on September 19th. As with all of his most recent lanterns they will be made in a limited number of small, handcrafted batches. When they are gone, they are gone. Do not miss out on the chance to have a limited edition piece of sculptural art from this great Wisconsin guy. The name of Tim’s Etsy shop is PulpNovelties. You can also contact him directly at pulpnovelties@aol.com.

For those who know me, you know that I rarely buy anything Halloween unless it is vintage. I've made an exception - and you should too. My advice is to place a pre-order with Tim now. I am privy to the number he plans to produce in his initial batch. That number compels me to repeat the advice - place a pre-order now. :)

Fantastic New Pulp Witch Head Available

It is rare that I tout anything but vintage items on this blog, but take a look at these. There is an artist named Timothy Ramzyk in Wisconsin who meticulously and painstakingly hand molds his own designs from a heavy, durable pulp. He has five designs in very limited quantities at price points that are in a few words, way too cheap! The designs from last year are a skull, a JOL, a black cat head and a devil head. The devil is shown below. This year he has unveiled a scary green-faced witch - and you can feast your eyes on it alongside the devil. I just got it yesterday and I was awed at the workmanship. I proudly have these two treasures on exhibit in my main display room. (For those who I've been lucky to host at my home, you know that in order for something to be placed in that room, it has to carry its own weight. These do, easily.)

Now, Tim is only making 12 JOLs and 20 of the other four designs for the entire season. (Of course, there are at most 19 witches left.) The price for the devil, JOL and black cat is $83 each, postpaid. The price for the skull and the awesome new witch is $95 postpaid.

Tim has created a steel stamp of his logo and has permanently branded his creations, as he has a healthy respect for protecting the vintage market. He numbers and dates each of his creations.

For those who know me, you know that I rarely buy anything Halloween unless it is vintage. I've made an exception - and you should too. Snap these up before they are ALL GONE by contacting Tim directly at pulpnovelties@aol.com. He lists these as well on eBay and Etsy.
