Lot 5                     1950s Package of Three Gurley Candles
Gurley of Buffalo, New York, produced this package of three candles during the 1950s. This was a true variety pack consisting of a young witch, a JOL and a perched owl. The package measures ~4.25” high by ~5” across by ~1.75” deep. The candles are unused and in near-perfect condition. There is some color transfer from the black of the flanking candles to the decorative top of the packaging. The cardboard enclosure on the witch side has split but rests cleanly together. It is getting hard to find complete packages of vintage Gurley candles with original contents.
