Lot 38                  1920s Small German JOL with Venetian Dew
This JOL was produced in Germany during the 1920s. It has a compo wash over cardboard construction. Few of these JOLs underwent a further step – to be covered in Venetian Dew. Remnants of what were supposed to be leaves can still be seen at the bottom. The JOL measures ~3” high by ~3.5” in diameter. The insert for the nose may be original, but the inserts for the eyes and mouth are not. There is a small area of odd wear at the bottom of one side. At the bottom at this point there is a very tiny hole right where the cardboard bottom meets the JOL.
