Lot 28                1920s Tin Litho Clanger – Rare Form
This busily decorated tin litho clanger was produced in an interval from 1928 through the mid-1930s. Although it may have been produced by T. Cohn, that firm was assiduous in marking their wares, so the fact that it is unmarked gives me pause making a firm attribution. What makes this quite rare is the large form factor of the noisemaker. It measures ~4” high by ~4.5” in diameter. The measurements of the dome alone are relatively massive. The shaped wood handle is firmly attached. It makes a lot of noise!
