Lot 104             1930s Pulp Full-Bodied Veggie JOL Boy Lantern
This heavy pulp, full-bodied, Veggie JOL boy wearing a bow tie was produced in the United States during the 1930s. This is a tough pulp design to acquire. He stands ~7.5” high and is ~4.75” wide by ~4.75” deep. The molding for this piece is superb. The insert is not extant. There is minor wear to the tips of the feet. The bale is present but not attached. There is minor interior wax. The more common version of this lantern has black highlights. This version with green highlights to the feet and tie area surfaces much less frequently.
