2657                    1920s Chein Snarling Cat Face Tambourine with Decorated Rim
This is one of classic tin litho tambourine designs produced by Chein during the late 1920s. It shows a snarling cat face. The rim is decorated with iconic imagery and includes the J. Chein mark. The tambourine measures ~7” in diameter. There is minimal dimpling to the face. All eight cymbals or clangers are extant. The color is that desirable burnt orange.
