2627                    1920s Dennison Arched-Back Black Cat Diecut
Dennison produced this thin-paper diecut of an arched-back black cat right around 1920. Like almost everything else, I used to see this more often than I’ve seen it these last 15 years. I don’t believe I’ve had one to offer for sale for many, many years. This non-embossed diecut is large - measuring ~13” high by ~12” across. (Dennison actually produced an even larger version measuring 18” by 14.5.”) Dennison marked this on the left-most paw. Given the thinness of the paper stock used, these are quite prone to bending and tearing. This example has  bending at the tail but overall is in much better condition than I’ve seen in the (now long) past. Colors are bright.
