26186                 1910s German Handheld Fan
This handheld fan was produced in Germany sometime during the 1910s or early 1920s. It bears a D.R.G.M. mark. The side with the mark is uninteresting but the other side is fun. The masked woman is perhaps begging the rotund musician to strive for silence! The blue night sky is dominated by a kindly crescent moon. The fan is held by a simple wood stick. The fan measures ~11” high by ~6.75” across.
