26144                 1950s Japanese Spun Cotton and Crepe Witch
This witch table decoration was produced sometime during the 1950s. There is a small “Made in Japan” stamp on the back of the head. The head is spun cotton. The hair appears to be corn silk. The cape and dress are fashioned from crepe. The broom has a wood handle and straw end. She stands ~5” high. Her expression indicates someone just forced her to eat a molecule of kale. Her crepe hat is missing. Someone with some artistic talent could easily make one.
