26142                 1950s Tin Litho JOL Candy Holder – Largest Size
U.S. Metal Toy produced three sizes of their tin litho JOL candy holders. (Some end-users fashioned them as lanterns, but the original intent was to make a durable candy holder.) The largest version, like this one, had graphics that were identical with its medium-sized brethren. (Please see page 57 for images of all three sizes.) It measures ~5.25” high by ~6.5” in diameter. This has a factory assembly flaw in that the top and bottom halves don’t align as closely as they were designed to align. The underside of the white plastic horn nose is chipped. It still makes plenty of noise!
