2585                  1950s Unopened Package of Six Reed Coved Plates
The C.A. Reed Company of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, produced this set of six coved paper plates during the 1950s. The art is much better than the average such plate with JOLs, cats, an owl and a running scarecrow populating the energetic scene. Kudos to the artist for packing so many elements into such a small space while keeping it still very appealing. The plates measure ~8” square. The original cellophane isn’t completely intact but the plates have never been used and don’t seem to have ever been removed from the packaging.
