25230                 1930s Gibson 3-D Flying Owl (Smaller Size)
Gibson produced this 3-D flying owl during the early 1930s in two sizes. This is the smaller size, measuring ~4.5” high by ~7” across. It was designed to be hung from a ceiling and viewed from below, so the wings are decorated on the one side seen from below. The original hanging string is extant. Colors are strong. There is the remnant of a bit of tape on one wing with the end of that wing having a crease.
