25228                 1940s Beistle Black Cat Face Diecut
Beistle produced a small variety of black cat faces during the 1940s, then reissued the designs with zanier graphics in the 1960s and beyond. The earliest ones, like this one, use Beistle’s H.E. Luhrs mark and are lightly embossed. This particular design is hard-to-find, with long-slitted eyes and smiling mouth.  It measures ~6” high by ~6.25” across. There is no wear. This diecut looks like it was never used or even touched. I’ve never seen a finer example.
