25209 1940s Beistle Black Cat Face Diecut
Beistle produced a small variety of black cat faces during the 1940s, then reissued the designs with zanier graphics in the 1960s and beyond. The earliest ones, like this one, use Beistle’s H.E. Luhrs mark and are lightly embossed. This particular design is hard-to-find, with the long slitted eyes and snarling mouth. It measures ~6” high by ~6.25” across. There is light general wear. Other than the hanging hole, there are no pinholes.
