25186 1940s Unused A-Meri-Card Invitation with Cats on Fence
A-Meri-Card was a specific product line that American Greetings only used during the late 1940s. This unused black cat-themed invitation was, of course, produced then. It measures ~4.5” high by ~3.25” across, closed. It has an assigned stock number of 616/4. The quality of the paper used by American Greetings for this product line was prone to delamination or chipping. It is common to see chipping on A-Meri-Card items. This specific invite has very minimal chipping. Did you notice the slanted exclamation point design element American Greetings used here? This same element was something Gibson routinely used during the 1920s and into the early 1930s.
