Lot 52                Very Large 1960s Eureka Witch at Cauldron Diecut
Eureka produced a small number of Halloween diecuts in the early 1960s. They were produced on thin paper stock, so most are in poor condition when found at all. I’ve noticed that prices for Eureka diecuts have increased sharply over the last five years. This is a very large diecut of a witch tending her cauldron while an owl, cat and even a spider look on rendered in a kid-friendly way. It measures ~15.5” high by ~12.25” across. It is in fine condition, better than most Eureka diecuts. There is a bend to the witch’s hat at the left, some surface stress marks at the spider and a small area of light soiling along the perimeter a few inches above the witch’s red dress.
