Lot 48                Medium 1960s Eureka Ghost Diecut
Eureka produced a small number of Halloween diecuts in the early 1960s. They were produced on thin paper stock, so most are in poor condition when found at all. I’ve noticed that prices for Eureka diecuts have increased sharply over the last five years. This is a diecut of a ghost, cat, JOL and bat against a green moon rendered in a kid-friendly way, a hallmark of Eureka design. It measures ~11” high by ~9” across. There is one soft corner at the bottom left and a surface paper nick at the ghost’s upper body, clearly visible in the photo. Otherwise, this is in exceptional condition for a Eureka item. Even the hanging hole chad is unpunched.
