Lot 42                1921 Marks Brothers Cardboard Hat with Wood Horn Top
This well-designed noisemaker hat was patented by The Marks Brothers Company of Boston, Massachusetts on September 13, 1921 and was produced shortly thereafter. It has a crepe fringe at top surrounding the opening into which the working wood noisemaker fits. The bottom has a border of orange crepe. The imagery on either side is

identical with reversed colors. The hat shows some creasing near the top of both sides consistent with gentle use. There is a clean split along one of the sides that measures ~3.5”. The hat overall measures ~14.25” high by ~12.25” wide.
